It's a bit more complicated than that...
If it's not too serious for the thread, I've just caught up with the last part of the excellent Suzy Klein's Tunes for Tyrants series - in which she covers music as German and British propaganda during the second world war. It includes interviews with musicians who performed in occupied Paris and in Auschwitz.

The Chinese Detective (1982)... Starring David Yip as detective inspector John Ho; a cheeky little fecker who, in spite of getting results, is despised by his boss. Series two is so far excellent; especially the episode featuring John Savident and Alan ford. A lot of these old series don't stand up to the test of time but The Chinese Detective certainly does.

Is anyone watching the new series of Robot Wars? There have been some brilliant battles
Yes, yes and yes. Those school kids were lucky weren't they!

Alias Grace, a Netflix production I think.

6 episodes, we've watched 3 so far. I suppose you' class it a period drama, young woman of Irish descent in Canada / America in the mid 1800s, a multiple murderess who finds herself under scrutiny from a doctor trying to unravel the story behind it all.
It' good, a slow burner...im finding myself likening it to reading Orwells 'The Clergymans Daughter's... as she relates her own history and thoughts, I kept thinking it was like reading a book, Orwells in particular, imagining times gone by, how people behaved and spoke, conventions of the time....im rambling, I'm not even sure....im just reminded of that book.

Very good if a little slow.

Watched the first episode of "The Good Place", promising as it did make me laugh.

Don't watch the clip if you really don't want to be spoiled at all.

Not everyone will think of it as a spoiler as its something that is in the trailers and is revealed in the first 5 minutes anyway.

Is Cycle Chat the good place?

I don't remember the reveal so early, will have to rewatch! I do really like it but the swearing gag feels like it's been lifted from Kimmy Schmidt, which is also well worth a watch, even if you only watch the Pinot Noir episode.

Started Mindhunter last night. Very intense, very David Fincher, very good viewing. Not one for bingeing.

Started watching Marvel's Inhumans - three episodes in and I'm still not entirely convinced that it's not just a very lightly rehashed X-Men set on the moon / in Hawaii, but it's entertaining enough to pass an hour.

It also features Iwan Rheon, playing the sneaky, untrustworthy sort of cove he seems to play in everything (ie Riviera).

Also watching Sky One's Strike Back: Retribution which is entertaining if unlikely nonsense, even with several soap cast offs in leading roles. Mind you, I think the weapons drills would have @Drago throwing his remote at the telly
