Having bought a pair of Madison large long finger Spring/Summer gloves to give my re-built index finger a bit more space, I bought another from the same seller. That should do me for this summer as I can't see me being able to use mitts.

Also, a pair of Shimano 5-8 speed jockey wheels from an offer, plus a very budget Dura-Ace cassette. It's well used but I'm only aiming to use two cogs and the lockring from it on a hardly-used cassette where the 19-21 cogs are broken.

Too late, but about once every month or two they drop them to £79.99. They are reasonable fans but I'm not blown away with mine.

Oh well...

I think the fans could do with 4 settings, with the extra setting being one third to half the power of the current minimum.

I see what you did there!

10 speed 12T 14T and 17T sprockets, a 10 speed chain, and a 50T narrow/wide chainring.
I've also got a friction thumbshifter in the spares pile, should it be necessary.
I'll do some Brompton fettling tomorrow
Old gearing - 32" 39" 50" 62" 79" 97"
New gearing - 30" 37" 43" 47" 57" 67" 74" 90" 105"

The best bit was the price.
I got the parts from Ali Express, plus a complete Brompton toolkit. £40 all in.

These are truly excellent fans, all be it VERY directional - I use one for my face and upper body, and then this one for my lower body/legs:

It's REALLY good, with 6 speed settings, I rarely have to use it on full speed, same with the Cleva.

@HLaB I've been tempted several times by the Ekoi kit, but presume we will now get hit for a ton of import charges and admin fees - would you mind updating once it arrives as to how much that added on please?
I normally estimate it at around 30% on top.

In other news, as I am a bit of a Rouvy addict now, and wanted the virtual shifting that my 8 year old turbo is unable to do, I have treated myself to the below:
o-kickr-move-smart-trainer-side-view-1600-1600_600.jpg

£999 delivered from the ever excellent Sigma, plus this from the equally excellent Balfes for £70 delivered using BC discount plus a tiny bit of credit I had:
ahoo-Zwift-Click-Zwift-Cog-Upgrade-Kit-WFBKTRCCKIT.jpg

£1070 all in.
Entertainingly, had I bought direct from Wahoo, I could have had a reconditioned unit for £1070 delivered without the zwift cog and clicker

Next year, I will consider the climb, but I think this will be enough of a seismic change to start with.

They arrived today. Ive never been hit by import tariffs for Ekoi kit and Ive ordered enough that I'll get free gifts that are actually good quality.
