2) Knog Blinder Link rear light that is specifically for mounting on a rack. Bit expensive, but boy is it bright and eye catching!

I've been looking at these for my rack on my commuter - seems a good idea putting a light there given the panniers etc. I've just bought a Magic Shine SeeMee 300 instead, as that can mount high up under the saddle - will see how it goes as the Knog looks to be the best rack mount light out there by some way.

I've got a Exposure TraceR and also the Exposure Flare rear lights that either mount on the saddle rails or on the seatpost. However, as soon as you mount a small saddle bag from the saddle rails, neither light is no longer suitable. Hence why l wanted a decent bright light that was equal in performance to the Exposure lightsthat mounted on the rack. The Knog rear light seems to fit that requirement exactly!

I need a new shackle lock.
For convenience a set of 4 keyed alike would be very handy.
320mm or so to make parking easier.
Sold secure, gold or diamond to keep the insurance company happy.

I know Abus do it, but the lead time is quoted at 6 weeks! And the prices merit a mention in the "having a laugh" section.

Suggestions for keyed alike suppliers

I've just got a Pragmasis DIB D-lock (16mm shackle) which seems good https://securityforbikes.com/proddetail.php?prod=DIB

They do keyed alike. Sold secure gold and they do a 260mm internal length (overall 335mm) and a 300mm internal, latter showing out of stock at the moment. I got the 130mm compact plus 13mm Protector chain for use with the ground anchor in the garage. Great service though and very responsive with questions.

I think I've found the cables I need (shimano brake and gears) so I decided to order the new tape to go with the re cable of the good bike. The old stuff is a little threadbare in places

An inline barrel adjuster. I'm going to recable my Dura Ace bike which although its shifting fine, I need to retape the bars too and I think I'm best to do it at the same time. I suspect the actual adjuster screw in the mech has failed (after I was crashed into 6 months ago, not quite a crash but a skiff) but as the actual mech is shifting so smoothly and its expensive I'm going to fit the barrel adjuster.
Whilst I was in the ordering mode, I ordered a couple of campagnolo gear cables and I might get round to recabling the TT bike too.

Right ... an update on what I've been buying as I seem to not have added anything for a bit. All via eBay/sales/discount/here:

- A Pirelli Cinturato Velo tyre - I've got a couple spare already but they're about to be used. This one was a cheap retailer off-load.
- A Pirelli P Zero road tyre for stock
- A Contintental Grand Prix 5000 tyre for stock
- A Goodyear Eagle F1 tyre for something yellow
- A Continental Competition tubular tyre for stock
- A pair of Vittoria Terrena gravel tyres for the Merida Cyclo-Cross
- Some disc brake pads for the Merida Cyclo-Cross
- A Dura-Ace 9100 front brake caliper
- A pair of Dura-Ace 9000 50/34 chainrings for the Thompson Capella rather than the 52/36 it has currently
- A Merida Aero 30 wheelset which was OEM on the Merida Scultura 903 I have built up. Just need the correct seatpost and saddle now.
- A second pair of green brake hoods for the Viner Mitus as the ones I got on the off-chance fitted nicely
- A set of Halt Gooey green brake pads for the Viner Mitus
- A new Dura-Ace 9100 cassette for son no. 2's race bike for the 2024 season from Wiggle's sale - £99 v £225 normally
- A couple of used Dura-Ace 9000/9100 cassettes
- A Dura-Ace LH 170 power crank for son no. 2 from here
- A Dura-Ace LH 172.5 crank for me as I am one short due to a worn LH 9000 crank
- Campag Nuovo Record front & rear derailleurs for the Raleigh vintage build
- A Bibia mudlap for the Raleigh Pioneer as the one I had fell off. Probably because I broke it
- A 7-speed cassette so I could use an old pair of wheels, with studded tyres, on the Raleigh Pioneer. These were used before the Bibia mudflap fell off. I blame the snow
- A Dura-Ace 7900 rear derailleur for the Woodrup upgrade I have planned
- An RSP red/black carbon rail saddle. Probably for use on the Woodrup.
- A couple of cheap USB front lights for emergencies as mine got water-logged
- A set of BOA dials and other dials for a couple of pairs of shoes which need new dials
- A pair of Castelli mitts for next summer and a pair of padded mitts for track use
- A pair of Specialized Comp BG MTB shoes as the seller couldn't spell 'shoe', 'Specialized' or list it in the 'cycling shoes & overshoes' category on eBay. Found it in something much more exotic; canoes. Well they sound like 'shoes'.
- Some new Velotoze short shoe covers for time-trialling

And yes, the parts store is now nicely over-full. But, as prices seem to be going up, I'm comfortable with what I've got currently.

A Cateye BM-45 bar end mirror for the folding bike. Seems ok and just the right size but the ball and socket joint is just plastic with no means to tighten it up when it inevitably loosens over time. Time will tell
