Lifeline Pro toolbox with drawers on offer at Wiggle. My current Stanley box is a bit battered and I need a better way of organising the tools rather than thrown in a big toolbox. Also a pack of cable end caps, and 4 packs of 4 v-brake pad inserts - seem to be chewing through pads on my commuter.

Yesterday got a Park Tool chain checker and spare pins for the chain tool

Earlier this week took advantage of a Wizard Works sale to get some bags for the Fairlight.

Lifeline tool box is very good for the £32 or so it cost. Liking the three drawers as it means tools can be organised better, and they aren't all piled on-top of each other. It also takes more than my large stanley toolbox. That will be re-purposed for 'other stuff'.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
A couple of Pirelli Cinturato Velo road tyres for the Viner Mitus for when the current ones are done which, given the condition of the roads in Kirklees will be in about a month. They were new on auction at £15 each and no-one else bid :okay:

New 'old skool' Shimano M570 44T 5 arm chain ring. Existing one is starting to get worn after 12-18 month of commuting. I have a 'spare' used XT ring, but this one matches in colour with the 'spider' and is un-used. £37 not super cheap.

My commuter forks with full guards can only take 23mm tyres and the temporary cheap wired tyre it had split after about year or more of use or more (so not that temporary in the end). As a quick fit I've put on another wired tyre, it's a bit worn though so I've ordered a couple of Mitchelin Lithion 2's from Decathlon. Typically I suspect the fitted quick fit will last for months now I have got back up :-/

Someone once told me (after I was using my back up inner tube) to never change a tube that has air in. I thought this was a fair comment; maybe it could be the same for a tyre?
