What has priced itself out of YOUR budget?

Binned off our so called 'award winning' chippy as their chips are like frozen ones and all 'bits' rather than big chips. They are also incredibly slow given the staff. Been using another chippy thats twice as far, but small. The owner and 2 to 3 staff, and they have always got fish on the go. No ordering and waiting. Oh and propper chips. Not cheap though. Two fish, two large chips, jumbo sausage and two large peas £19.50. It does feed 4 adults though.

Haha.... there is a chippy about a mile away that has big banners claiming it is "award winning". I tried it once......gawd knows who gave them the award as the fish was coated in sloppy batter (can't recall what the chips were like).

Those multipacks of 4 Snickers/Mars, which once the packaging is removed reveal 4 very small "bars".... They are now £1.95 in our local Morrisons. WTF!! They were £1 not so long ago.
On same visit, Tilda microwave rice up from £1 last week to £1.25 today.
Another 2 items off the shopping list. Well done Morrisons, you're saving me a fortune!

Less than £5 for a takeaway sounds insanely cheap ? And a great way to do it if the portions are that big. ***Jealous. And hungry now 🤣

One of the perks of my job is some sort of life insurance thing where my estate get four times my annual salary if I die during my service to the company. I also have some sort of mortgage protection insurance which would pay of my mortgage.

Basically I am worth much more dead than I am alive!
