Been on holiday to Spain or Turkey.
Ok, I have been to Spain once, but it was for about two hours when my dad decided to hop over the border from France. It was grim then - not long after Franco, filthy and almost third world.

I never understood the storylines or the role of the characters. Like I said, I’m mustn’t be a SciFi buff.

I saw Star Wars when it came out in the 70s so I think I can help you with that. The story is that there are some baddies (Darth Vader and the blokes in white armour wearing gas masks) and some goodies - the two robots (the tall skinny one and the little one) the hairy one and some people. The role of the goodies is to defeat the baddies, which they do.
That's how I remember it anyway. It's been a while but I think I'm not far off. Some of the other films may be different, but I haven't seen them.
