Classic bit of cinema although i actually think to have and have not is a more iconic film .

Not at all. An excellent film. For the connoisseur, really, not to everyone's taste - it requires a refined palate.

I'm looking forward to more murder mystery genre mashups:

I had no desire to see Mufasa so my usual viewing partner was on a solo trip to the cinema today.

Apparently it would have been good if they hadn't made it a musical, but Timone and Pumba were very funny.

Honestly, you dodged a bullet there.

It would have been *better* definitely.
, but Timone and Pumba were very funny.
Which is why they were shoehorned into the movie. They also used orchestrations and tunes from the original Lion King which only served to remind you of how pi$$ poor the new songs were. I can only think that Lin Manuel Miranda was busy and found them some scrapings off the floor and said "will these do?".

The advert made it look bad enough.

The "live action" Disney films are very hit and miss too.
