I'm going to leave off scoring this for now, because I'm still trying to get my head around it. It's a thing of beauty, and brilliantly acted - I particularly enjoyed Branagh's unhinged villain - but I thought the whole thing didn't quite click, in the way his previous time/reality bending films have.
You don't watch a Nolan film to enjoy it...you go to have your head messed with.Ive watched it a couple of times.Id be lying to say I loved it,but I enjoyed it.Visually stunning and messes with your head ! My biggest criticism would be it probally had to much gunfire etc for me.
Give it another go in a week or so 😁

Well I liked it, some great jokes. Annoyingly Alan Rickman turned down the baddy role.

I watched Dunkirk. I missed it when it was on at the flicks. A very good film.
Same. It was not quite the epic I thought it had been hyped up as, but was a gritty and ’realistic’ account with selfless and selfish behaviours portrayed in equal measure. No saccharine ending, just people getting through an undoubtedly horrific experience.

The Magnificent Seven (the newish Denzel Washington remake) - oh dear, another film that didn't need to be made. The original is superior in every way. 3/10.

And the original original, Seven Samurai is an easy 10/10. An utterly perfect film in every way. When I first saw Seven Samurai I though it a bit slow compared to Magnificent Seven (the Brunner version) but after a few re-watches and seeing more and more in each scene, Seven Samurai is enthralling and I could have watched it for another hour or two

Tail End Charlie

Well, write it down boy ......

I watched Dunkirk aswell, at least until the power cut happened, just as it was hotting up, so I suppose I watched Dunk. Need to know who wins!?

Finally got round to watching Terminator: Dark Fate.
A couple of interesting new ideas but it was basically just lots of fighting and not much else. Yawn out of 5.

I enjoyed it too, and I get Nolan's thing (Batman, The Prestige and Dunkirk aside) of f*cking with reality and time, which I think is cool, I'm just not sure if maybe he's gone too far with this one. Definitely needs another viewing.

I still think his best film is Following.

Must watch that again...I recently watched Memento again which i forgot how much I liked.I guess I have a slight bias...although hated Dunkirk.
Edited to say I had to suffer the last half hour of Dunkirk again last night because Harry Styles is in it and I've a teenage daughter !!

I wouldn't have bothered with Dunkirk if it wasn't for Nolan.

I watched Hidden Figures last night and thought it was pretty good .
I couldn't be bothered with Dunkirk . I was given the dvd as a present . I watched it once and that was enough ! I don't mind watching a film several times but not in the same movie ! Watching a Spitfire fly through the same routine filmed from 3 different angles confused me and put me right off the film .
