Under The Skin (2013) ...absolute garbage and yet another film starring Scarlet Johansson that I've failed to reach the end of. I suppose it was trying to be arty, with barely any dialogue and hardly any plot. A big fat 0/10 from me.
I actually liked this film.I found it creepy, maybe that says something about me !

It's a great film, and I loved it despite having had severe doubts about how they'd adapt the book.

Dull old world where we all like the same stuff though, eh?

I watched Never let me go,again the other night.Another film that i thought would be hard to do the book justice.I love the film, slightly biased as i like most films Carey Mulligan is in !

Poseidon - As dull and predictable as the original was fresh and daring. Even Kurt Russell couldn't save it, as he'd clearly spent more time reading the pay cheque than the script. Top it off with special effects that the producers of Power Rangers would have rejected, and it was a bad 'un. 2/10.

Ex Machina - too arty farty weird, yet too conventional in plot. A poor psychological sci-fi thriller with a single premise stretched throughout an entire film with zero supporting filler. Dull. 2/10.

Mudbound (2017)....Carey Mulligan, Jason Clarke, Mary J. Blige, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Mitchell.... excellent film about about pre and post WW2 Mississippi, where 2 men bond over their experiences of the war,
this is a very well acted, atmospheric, beautiful cinematography, I really enjoyed this film 8/10
.
I do get proper piiissed off when watching such films at the inhumanity shown and acted on a fellow human being solo based on skin colour, and I get doubly annoyed that it is still prevalent today, it might seem we've moved on greatly but deep down very little has changed.

Watched this last night, can only concur with the above.... It's not a 'feel-good factor' film, but well worth watching.

As 'IotCB' says, the level of man's inhumanity to fellow man depicted in this was enough to have me cursing at the TV, a rare occurence  Thoroughly enjoyable all the same, highly recommend this one.

Obsessed - A sort of poor mans Basic Instinct, with Idris Elba and no dead people.

I'm not a fan of Elba anyway, and his American accents are woeful. To top it off, the plot is utterly unbelievable - an ugly old gargoyle like him wouldn't turn down a hot momma like the lady throwing herself at him. My famous beige Y fronts (with brown piping) would have been off so fast I'd have had friction burns.

0-10. Reading the films precis on the TV guide was more interesting than the film itself.

I haven't seen this in a while. Damn good movie. One of the better De Niro movies. It was also the first movie that De Niro and Pacino starred in together.

The bank job shoot out really rattles the old speakers, sure the neighbours though WW3 must have started.

Top notch stuff.

Brilliant film

Awesome fillum. Factoid - Andy McNab was technical advisor for all the heist scenes, so the weapons drills are spot on ;)
