Logan.
I'm not a big cinema goer so hadn't even heard of this one..
Enjoyed it. I thought the scenes where Professor X was having mental disturbances (whatever they were I missed) and the noise and effect on everyone nearby was very well done and strikingly good.

Professor X has alzheimer's but because of his telepathic abilities they kept him in the metal silo to shield both him and everyone else.

It's a good film, shows even the superheros aren't imune from "normal" ailments..

Just finished watching Rougue One. It was pretty good and a fitting nod to the original trio.

Empire of the Ants. I've no idea why i downloaded so many trashy monster movies. This one's from the 70s and stars Joan Collins. I think that's where the budget went. Utter pants but at least the SFX people made some big ants. (3.5/10)

IT, the version with John-Boy Walton in it.
This morning, even though it was sunny out, I watched The Lone Ranger. The Johnny Depp version. I enjoyed it a lot  I expect that I shall watch that again very soon, even though I don't like westerns. Excellent cast in that, a lot of Brits too

So dreadful my stomach leaped up my wind pipe and strangled my brain in order to end the suffering.

0/10 - if you're playing Russian Roulette and get a choice of the revolver of this film, I can't suggest you choose the film.

Is it as good/bad as THEM?
Haven't seen it for years. I remember enjoying it. It's certainly no Phase IV that's for sure.

Great film. It's even got a cheesy Bondesque ending.

You miserable thing ! Fifth Element is a joy from start to finish.

Was it "bad weapons drill" that swung it? They weren't real weapons you know

I watched 'Boyka Undisputed' half decent martial arts movie based in Russia. This movie is VERY VERY Cliche. Its nothing that hasnt been seen before in any old Van Damme movie, In fact.. Its pretty much a Van Damme movie apart from the fact the actors are Russian.

Acting aint bad though not superb. Accents can be a little questionable at times.

Basicly...

MMA fighter unbeknowingly kills a competitor, was already religious but finds even more religion and decides to repent for his sin by hunting down the guys wife to apologise. Finds wife, wife is embroiled in some dealings with the local gangsters/mobsters/mafia who own that part of the town and dead guy took out a loan with them but gets killed in the ring in the midst of trying to pay it off. Dead people cant pay. so wife is now the mafias property and she goes to work for them. MMA fighter finds out and as part of his road to redemption agrees to make a deal with the devil (the mobsters) and fight for her release. Mobster boss is an evil bast**d and cheats. Throws more barriers up before MMA fighter and dead mans wife can be free. MMA fighter fights to the end and wins, mob boss is a sore loser and breaks the agreement. Things go pear shaped, chaos ensues but MMA fighter wins the day and everyone is free....well almost free..

I can understand why it can be kind of boring, but the fight choreography was pretty well done. Its like a cross between a van damme movie and Yip Man with Donnie Yen

Not a bad movie just to kill time

Dunkirk. As the Monkeyman said a page or three back, believe the hype. A really stunning spectacle, with fantastic cinematography and sound that (I'm told) had me jumping around like I was having a fit. The most 'real' war since Saving Private Ryan - it's hard to imagine how you could get closer to being there without being there. One interesting aspect, to me at least, was the way it pretty much ignored the traditional structure of a movie. It was a collection of overlapping short stories rather than a 'novel' - but each of them told with immense skill and sensitivity. I'm not ashamed to say I wasn't far off welling over when the 'hope' appeared. I was amazed when it ended - so totally caught up in it, I hadn't a clue it had run its length. Early days, but I'll be surprised if this doesn't hoover up Oscars when the time comes.

I'm putting the boot in here too.

It's a great film. You are totally wrong.
