The Cincinatti Kid. Steve McQueen was never more Steve McQueeny, and Edward G Robinson was great. Well done movie, tho' in truth you kind of knew which way it was headed long before the end. "I guess you're just not ready for me yet." 7/10.
A strangely compelling film, I guess mainly down to the two lead performers. And yet, the poker is just daft: pulling money out of your pocket to raise the pot mid hand ? Mmm, not really kocher. And the final scence where Edward G plays unbelievably badly yet wins. Maybe that is supposed to be the "moral" but it's a bit of a let down. Still very watchable all the aame
