Whatever you do, please don't watch "There Will Be Blood". On your death bed, you really will want those 158 minutes of your life back. It's an absolute stinker!

Just watched Citizen Kane for the first time.

It was alright. I deleted it from "My Shows" so I guess I won't be watching it again any time soon.

Kajaki. A remarkably brilliant anti-war film about the mundane, the extreme, fear, bravery, humour and comradeship in the face of a terrible situation which goes from bad to worse. 8/10

I thought it was a tremendous film, a tour de force of acting and directing. It's about greed, religion, capitalism, and man's [sic] seeming inability to prevent history from repeating itself. HTH.

Far better put than I was managing! Daniel Day Lewis is a brilliant actor, says a lot about his abilities and integrity that he's only been in a handful of films over a 50 year career, none of them bad. Many consider De Niro and Pacino to be the greatest, but I'd give that title to Lewis ahead of them any day.
