Enemy of the State is an absolute belter
Robert Clayton Dean: What the hell is happening?
Brill: I blew up the building.
Robert Clayton Dean: Why?
Brill: Because you made a phone call.

True romance 1993? A pimps coke is stolen?

Pretty much. But there is so, so much more to it. The cast is amazing, and there are so many great scenes I struggle to name a favourite. If Drexl (the pimp - Gary Oldman on glorious form) had a gun to my head, it would be Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken having a chat about Sicilians.

We've spent the last three nights watching the hunger games trilogy.
Yes, I know now that its not a trilogy!!
Stupid film makers.
I was really enjoying it, but I still don't know what happens in the end. I'm going to have to read the book.

Missus was out, so I had a break from our recent box set obsession. Instead I watched Layer Cake, mainly because Colm Meaney's characters 7series Bimmer is identical to one I owned about 12 years ago.

The Internet's Own Boy.

Its about Aaron Swartz, part creator of reddit (amongst many others), political/internet activist.

I could sit here and urge you to watch it but ya know, if you wanna watch, then do so. Its a bit like the sign of our times. Internet freedom.

Finally got around to watching Michael Clifford's documentary, Bicycle. Very good, very passionate, perhaps a little bit misty-eyed, but brimming with inspirational stories.

Skyfall.

When I say Skyfall I mean the introduction with someone sinking through a hole in the seabed and the end where M dies. Gogglebox didn't show the rest.

Very good indeed - cleverly shot, nicely timed humour, and the cameo by Michael Bond was a nice touch.

Dune

An exposition heavy, gloriously designed perplexing mess. I remember being unable to get through it at the time it was released on home video. If you like amazing visuals, while people have internal monologues on plot points, and exposition heavy dialogue throughout, you'll love it.

First Blood. Came on as my youngest & I were idly channel flipping, and I said she had to watch it, if only to fully grasp the whole Rambo thing. We agreed it was a cracker. Limited obviously, but it knows its limits, never pretends, and within those limits has a damn fine time.

One of the 64K
Fast & Furious 7. Not the best in the franchise. Had all the usual elements. Slightly too many lucky coincidences. Fairly disjointed. To be expected considering Paul Walkers death which was dealt with admirably. 8 could really do with being a lot more coherent and concentrating on the car chases a bit more.

Good set of trailers, Mad Max Fury Road looks pretty unmissable.

I love irony.

A franchise that is currently 6 episodes too long. No....make that 7. Becoming as laughable as the Rambo Moronathon.

I don't know how interested you are, but the Filmspotting podcast recently took a look at the series - http://www.filmspotting.net/reviews/1306-533-furious-7-top-5-fast-and-furious-moments.html
