Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
The Wolverine. That's all 7 films. The missus wants to start the Iron Man box set tonight, then I get to start the Jurassic Park set.

The latest jurassic park will be out in june. The trailer for it looks good.

It had it's up sides. 2 very cute women, 1 as heroine, 1 as damsel in distress, fight scenes, corsets and a certain lack of clothing on one said damsel later on in the film. Otherwise it was watchable... The script liked left something to be desired though and any sequels can only be improvements... I have seen worse ( Ironman 2 springs to mind with no redeeming features/assets) but I have seen a lot better.

My husband however didn't manage more than 10 minutes when he tried watching it!

He missed out on a classic.

I'm glad I read your review first so that I forced myself to watch it all the way through.

Enemy of the state. Even though it was made in 1998 it hasn't dated. Starring Will Smith and Gene Hackman. Excellent film and is even more relevant tody given the amount of spying, and the privacy (or lack thereof) bill that was passed and gives the American governemt carte blanche to spy and listen in on its own people and those of other countries. 8/10.

Interstellar - too long, too much wrong, what were they thinking. And I say that as a massive sci-fi and Chris Nolan fan.
Pride - just right, hilarious, poignant, uplifting.

The giant walking fag packets? yeah - they were pretty cool and parts of the film were visually great. Overall the storyline was not bad although I felt it went a bit dodgy towards the end. Then again, I have a very short attention span.

We've just watched Dead Head, a 4-part TV series from the 1980s, it's a film noir type effort with a convoluted plot set around a toff murder cover up scenario. Stands the test of time pretty well and has some first-rate performances, don't expect anything fancy, it's low-budget filmed in 4:3 aspect but that adds to the noirishness. The closing music is awful and worth avoiding.

Good write-up here...

Jurassic Park in glorious hi def through the enormous sound system in the bedroom. No scrappy editing like it inevitably suffers when shown on tv. A glorious film, with a nice dollop of Goldblum who's one of my favourite actors.

Useless fact. Goldblum was given an ML by Mercedes during the making of the film. He is totally uninterested in cars so doesn't waste money on shizzle like Ferraris etc, and to this day still uses the ML as his main car.

Google 'ECHELON'. The US, UK, Australia and New Zealand have been circumventing laws on spying on their own citizens by getting their allies to do it on their behalf. This has been in the public domain since the Nineties but rarely gets a mention in the media.

Gosh, a real blast from the past. I remember being hooked on this (think I was 15 at the time) and became a massive Dennis Lawson fan because of it.

Enemy of the State is an absolute belter. One of my favourite Scott films, up there with Crimson Tide, but always beaten by True Romance.

Weird when it was sponsored by Ford?

He means The Lost World.

I'd agree that they could comfortably have shaved 30 minutes off the running time, but I really liked it. I thought it was a magnificent film, despite its flaws.
The AI robots were cool.

I disagree about the length. It's a film that you need to think about throughout. If the more reflective moments weren't included, your brain would be a fried mess by the end.
