Yep - unlike Suspiria though, I found the score in Inferno kept taking me out of the moment (with a few exceptions).

Very hard to beat Suspiria in my opinion.Of of the grteatest horror movies EVER made.I watched them both only a few weeks ago.I often get the Argento urge, nothing wrong with that though.
Also like to wallow in a bit of Fulci too.

The liking for eye trauma always puts me off Fulci! We all have our limits...

Interstellar - After reading reviews on various websites and on here I wasn't expecting a lot, and also expected to be bored. Sure was the odd plot hole, Michael Caine wasn't that great (just IMVHO), but on the whole I thought it was a fantastic film. The long start (which never bored me) all fell into place as the film unfolded. It was just a great story, with the odd wise underlying message about the way the world is today. It was also totally stunningly beautiful to look at. My only regret is not watching this at the cinema. 8.5/10

Kiki's Delivery Service

TBH the story was only average and the visuals were not up with the very best SG stuff.

Europa Report

Watched this on Netflix, very low budget but very well done fictionalised docudrama about "found footage" from mankind's first expedition to Europa, Jupiter's ice covered moon, and the search for possible life in the ocean underneath. A slow burner but done with fine attention to detail and an intelligent, completely plausible plot which never veers to the absurd or fantastical.

7/10

South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut - still stands up as a work of genius...and one of the funniest. A masterclass in how to make serious points without being solemn or preachy. Uncledaffodiller!

Birdman. Overacted, ambiguous load of old twaddle, with some unpleasant characters, I expect it'll win a load of oscars.

I started watching Birdman as I read a review that suggested it was like Black Swan for the theatre. I thought Black Swan was great (maybe a touch heavy), I lasted 30 minutes with Birdman and had to switch it off. Not for me, you have more or less summed it up how I felt about it.
