Gandhi. What a mighty film. It left me speechless. A long film but my god a really fine documentary/movie about "the little man's" life. David Attenborough and his team done a splendid job researching and producing this one. An old film, 1982. I downloaded it some time ago and waited for the right time to watch it. Powerful. Sad. Inspiring.

Phew, at least you didn't give the ending away!

My blue heaven and a couple of other Steve martin movies.

Yeah what's up with all that romcom stuff. Its like a complete genre of movies just disappeared.

I watched planes trains and automobiles a few weeks ago , worth watching just for the car hire scene

Yeah! But I think John candy relies a little bit on silliness to be funny rather than something that's really funny. Or it could just be me. I was sad to see him pass away. I can't recall which film it was, maybe uncle buck, the air conditioning scene. When the going gets hot...

Deliver us from Evil. I enjoyed this one,a mix of cops and villains with an excorcism thrown in for good measure.A great cast with Eric Bana and a personal fave of mine Sean Harris.

Also watched another classic from the past..............It Came form Outer Space.

The Ninth Gate. Nicely shot film by Polanski, Johnny Depp was pretty good, enough going on to carry on watching to the end but ultimately it was all just a bit daft.

School Daze, an early Spike Lee joint. Not one of his better ones but it has been a long time since I last watched it so gave it another go. Still not overly impressed with it.

Last Days On Mars. Usual sci fi storyline, quite good. Not fabulous but a good watch for 90 minutes when there's nothing else takes your fancy.

Moon.

A rewatch, but I'd forgotten enough of it to play it again. One of my favourites - great performances from Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey, a good story, and terrific production design and direction, as well as a lovely score from Clint Mansell.

This scene in particular got me on this watch.

If you've not seen it, don't read anything about it, and go watch it as soon as you can.

Moon. A sort of Silent Running based on the moon with Space 1999 standard special effects.

Rather good.

I thought it was excellent. Did you get the bonus short film about the assassin? The boy Bowie done good.
