Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt 1

I don't think I can say much more than "it's not for me". Good in parts, but by golly I thought it dragged, pace wise. The blood/vampire venom graphics reminded me of the beginning of Fight Club, and then I wished I was watching Fight Club.
Yes, I preferred True Blood. Now that's vampires for adults .

I thought they lost the plot with the series. The books were good accept for the ending. Charlaine harris is cr@p at ending her books.

A documentary about three bikers travelling from Texas to Alaska. Pleasant enough movie though I got bored towards the end not because the film became boring as such but because something else was occupying my mind. Curiously its available as a rental only on google play.

I've only read the first of the books and thought it was a weird teenage fantasy. Not enjoyable at all, but still streets ahead of that Twilight pish.

You're bang on about the series though. It's like the directors thought chucking tits and blood at it would mask the flaws. And I suppose for a while that worked, but once you realised you were being conned the attraction wore thin quickly.

If you're after vampires for adults, it's got to be Nosferatu or Gary Oldman's incarnation. Closely followed by Lost Boys, Blade and John Carpenter's Vampires. Or if you fancy a TV series, Buffy wins without breaking a sweat.

Agreed on Buffy but I'd put Near Dark (early Bigelow with a lot if the cast from Aliens in it) over a lot of those Vampire movies. Book wise I've a lot of time for Tanya Huff's 'Blood' quintology.

Buffy was ok, but like a lot of series, they ran out of steam and ideas and in the end it just fizzled out like all series do.

All long (supernatural) series have two distinct parts. They start low powered and maintain that for some seasons, then they feel they need an even bigger big bad and flip to high powered. Once flipped there's no going back. Buffy was great 1-3, had problems 4-5, picked up a bit 6-7 but never found its early greatness, Supernatural 1-4 are good, 5-x not so much. Etc.

Fortunately they both had some great episodes in every season.
