Burn after Reading. Brad Pitt,George clooney.

Seen it before but fancied watching it again. I like that movie but can see why many will be off it. Kinda reminds me of an old movie "Two Days in the Valley" (which I've also downloaded and will watch soon).

French Connection II

er, not much to say about them really....

Australia - half way through it and currently better than the above 2 though it could be something to do with mixing morphine and codeine...
(I just needed something in English today, rather than Spanish).

I doubt even opiates could compel me to watch Australia again. I'm a Baz Luhrman fan, but that was absolutely dreadful. Definitely not better than French Connection!

Maverick Goose

A jumped up pantry boy, who never knew his place
Behind The Candelabra.

Made for TV film about Liberace's affair with a younger man. The first half plods a bit but things liven up when Rob Lowe as the Cosmetic Surgeon/Drug Dealer To The Stars hits the screen.

Warning - film contains gratuitous shots of Matt Damon in skimpy sequinned swimming trunks - you have been warned.
@welsh dragon and @ScotiaLass will love that one then!;)

I finished watching "No", a really good drama about the 1989 plebescite in Chile.

Metro Manila - a rather grimmer affair - a noirish thriller about good people forced into making terrible choices by their circumstances.

Both are very, very good.

Metro Manila was hard going, mostly I think because it feels very plausible, almost like a documentary in places.

We kicked off Christmas film season in the RM household with Die Hard, one of my favourites. Absolutely flawless, though it's a shame that the series has been tarnished by the most recent incarnation.
