I enjoyed LOTR and found Goodfellas a bit boring
and some people think Memento is a big steaming turd of a movie. It's good that folk like different things... but whoever put Amilie and 'a bit boring in places' in the same sentence really does need shooting... or hanging, or shooting then hanging. :gun:

Predestination with Ethan Hawke ....a very interesting storyline which many won't get but I thought it was a fascinating timetravling sci-fi movie..highly recommended....
That sounds interesting... Goes off to find it...

Rolling Thunder - William Devane and a young Tommy Lee Jones.

Not quite as thrilling, or Death Wish in style, as the synopsis would have you believe, but not bad all the same.

watched HB2 the other night, it was crap, maybe I'm getting old but it made no sense why they did the things they did, I know its a comedy and not real life but for f..k sake at least make it funny.....you know what I'm not getting old, I am old....^_^
The funniest part about hb2 was that short guy of the three and hes not funny at all. He just talks weird and I guess so e people think thats fu NY. I didn't and looks like neither did you regardless of whether you and I are old or not, the film was rubbish.

Last week Apollo 13 was on and I recorded it to watch with my 12 year old daughter. She likes a bit of science. So we sat down to watch it and coming to the end where they re-enter the earths atmosphere and she had her head in her hands. I said to her 'You know this is real, dont you?' She hadnt a clue, totally blew her mind. It instantly became her 2nd favourite movie. I asked her what her favourite was and she said 'dunno, just like to keep the top slot free for new things'. As a result she no longer wants to be an astronaut but is happy enough to go work for NASA.

Olympus Has Fallen

Basically Under Siege/Die Hard but set in the White House.

If you anticipate the film being a complete turkey then in actual fact it's not too bad.

French Connection
French Connection II

er, not much to say about them really....

Australia - half way through it and currently better than the above 2 though it could be something to do with mixing morphine and codeine...
(I just needed something in English today, rather than Spanish).

Rise of the 300. The next chapter. Hell of a good film. Fantastic CGI. 9/10 brilliant gory, bloodthirsty film.

Behind The Candelabra.

Made for TV film about Liberace's affair with a younger man. The first half plods a bit but things liven up when Rob Lowe as the Cosmetic Surgeon/Drug Dealer To The Stars hits the screen.

Warning - film contains gratuitous shots of Matt Damon in skimpy sequinned swimming trunks - you have been warned.
