A bit more detail. An American film about a Japanese man, Jiro, who is a sushi master.

Lots of knives, cleavers, and blood. Bit of a slasher movie. Not for the squeamish. And it is all Japanese dialogue with English sub-titles.

Watch it, you'll love it. If you like sushi!

I watched "The Way" which is a story about a group of people travelling the ancient Pilgrim route (el camino) from France to Santiago de Compostela. This is a route I'd like to either cycle or walk one day and it's a route I've already driven many times since my wife comes from the region of Galicia.

Did that when I was in my late teens, tho' we cheated by starting in Santander (the only real reason we went - the ferry companies were on strike and the only routes available were to Santander). One thing I do remember - you can forget all that crap about the rain in Spain staying mainly on the plain. It's arid, biscuit-dry and very very hot - and it just goes on & on & on....

Watched '71, a film about a soldier in Northern Ireland, last night at the cinema.

Awesome. Proper edge of seat stuff but very complex and nuanced too. No black and white resolutions here. Well worth watching.

I watched Gravity to the end but how the hell I managed, God only knows.

It was Sandra Bullock playing her usual ditsy come strong woman role, and George Clooney being.....well......George Clooney.

Not one I'd recommend
