Porridge is very popular, but personally I eat mostly pasta for the day or so before the ride then on the morning of the ride I'll have a breakfast bar flapjack and a banana. But then my long rides start silly o'clock in the morning so there's not much scope to stomach tons of grub.
I'm also struggling to get my head around supplements they are confusing so if someone could just suggest a protein drink for after that be fantastic I would really like to do the right this time
Nowt for me, as only eat between 3-11 pm each day. Therefore, always ride on an empty stomach. I've not detected any difference in output since I started this.
I don't compete as I'm aware this would not be optimum for best performance.
i usually wait until after the ride before i eat ! cant stomach food first thing in the morning ,after an hour or so on the bike i have porridge with honey or syrup on it ,but have recently found out im lactose intolerant .......DAIRY products in the majority of all food used as fillers ,so im losing weight without going on the bike
I'm struggling to get my head around the protein side off things Ect for after I don't want to bulk up I know there is going to be muscle gain Ect but I want to know what u can use after is it a protein shake ? Or what are the meal replacement shakes
