Must...not...rant!
up to 15 Points, up to £1000 fine, possible instant disqualification if its on video, or worse loose control and wrap the car around a tree and never walk again (or never wake up again) Why Race? Its pointless and dangerous to other people. How bad would you feel if you were racing and you collided with a Family coming back from a day out, and you killed them? Sorry I Just have no time for Racers.
Sorry, Rant over.Also, the Saxo is not (lets face it) the safest car on the road, even at 30mph the whole passenger cage crumples up, and would cause serious injury. You imagine that happening at a faster speed? No chance of survival. I am not trying to scare you (infact thats a Lie, I am) But I have heard some horrific stories about it all, as 99% of my family are in the emergency services. Sometimes you just need to learn the hard way. I just hope your a safe driver, and that was just a joke... but its not entirely aimed at you. Its to everyone!!!

You ride a bike and you're worrying about the safety of a car in a 30mph crash??????????
I've cycled, motorcycled, and done much of my driving in cars without air bags or anything resembling a crumple zone and I'm still here. Accidents can happen, but if drivers spent a fraction of what they do on passive safety aids on an advanced driving course they'd have a much better chance of surviving life as a driver or a rider.

Oooh that hurts.
its actually been utterly reliable. Alfas reputation goes back a long way and its something I can't see them ever shaking off in the publics mind. They are a very rare car locally, maybe a couple per month in local rag small ads, which is a good thing in my mind, I like having something a bit different.
I had one too, hence the post and my empty pocket
it was an old one, big saloon, I forget the model number..........mind you the defender I drive now aren't known for reliability, keeps AA men in a job.............

Newer ones are a lot better - can't help but think of the Top Gear they did featuring them.
Only found out recently Alfa were the first to introduce common rail diesels to the masses.
ps. I was going to type 'newer are better as they are mostly Fiats' - but that didn't really work somehow.

Actually I love life, but after being in a severe car accident and rushed hospital and almost being killed because of a stupid boy racer who cant handle the power of a 1.2 Corsa... then that has to make a slight difference?

Ecclefechan..I am sorry to hear you were in a severe accident caused by a mindless idiot, but Iam 44 and been driving for 22 years, never had any driving convictions, nor been involved with any trouble with the law, and consider myself a good law abiding citizen, as well as a responsible driver..I too "love life", but try not to take things too literally,like I said , it was a figure of speech..do I look like a mindless idiot?

No, I am the one that should be sorry after that very 'aggravated' rant, and I rant at my friends when they speed aswell! No you dont look like one haha,

What engine is in that Larry and how old is it? Have you had any problems with it, with it being French and that. Just I am looking for a cheaper car to run, as I mentioned in a recent thread the goverment are pricing me off the road with my 1.6 Focus petrol
