very hard to challenge when you're in the crowd though....needs to work on his steering

He was on the front on that corner, I think he'd have been swamped up the hill had he made it round.

Lovely place, interesting history & castle and super restaurants. Ate (and drank) a superb lunch there.

5th yesterday, 3rd today. Nice chap, ridden with him when I lived in Portugal when he was doing off-season training and matched him on an uphill sprint segment ( also beat him in a friendly race-for-the-sign).

Obvs I wouldn’t have a hope of being anywhere near him in an actual race sprint at the end of a Pro race but…still good for the ego!
