It looked at one point that Kuss could hve taken the stage but he went back into superdom mode.
Nothing conclusive yet but it's a bit early for anything decisive.
I imagine that TJV will put their effort out on a longer harder climb and see what happens to Remco. It could almost have been a replay of Pog outsprinting Vingo at the Tour and we all know what happened there!

Groves was specifically taken to the Vuelta as he is a sprinter who can climb…

None of the top pure sprinters who excel on the flat are in the race this year.

His ability to (allegedy*) push Coquard off his bike is worth at least 6pts.

Apropos of nothing, I have just realised I visited Morella, todays start town, 12 years ago. Lovely place, interesting history & castle and super restaurants. Ate (and drank) a superb lunch there.
