Park on the outskirts & cycle in?

Yeah, that's probably the best idea.

That will be the same garden centre that benefits from cyclists dropping in for breaks all year round?

I know what I would do if I cycled that area often.

God forbid the extra money 15,000 participants along with volunteers, pro teams, staff etc. are going to bring into the community

Tail wind for the second half then, sort of?

Indeed, but it's most downhill then anyway

I'm not gloating BTW as I'm riding it for real on Sunday too now :okay:

No problem for me, I've got about 14,000 riders in front of me to shield me from the wind on the way out

Edit - Thats assuming I start at the front of my group  14,500 if I start at the back ^_^

Latest weather reports not looking too good at all. Rain in both Cardiff and Abergavenny. Looks like the miserable NIMBY's rain dances are going well.

The overshoes I brought after work may come in handy then  Hopefully if needed, they will last more than the 5 minutes they lasted for RideLondon.

Look on the bright side, at least we will miss the weather warning they have issued. What could go wrong, it's not like it could take a bit longer to get here and arrive on Sunday

Well I've got overshoes, them toe cap things, Seal skinz socks, skull cap, waterproof arm and leg warmers, front and rear mudguards and light waterproof jacket. I might well end up looking daft but giving myself every chance to stay as dry for as long as possible.
