I like summer. I extended my commute again and bagged another 12 tiles. I'm a wee bit annoyed with my self that the route I'd plotted through Green End didn't update correctly and I loaded up the original which didn't. Hey ho 13 tiles would have been unlucky any how.

That leaves me at:

Veloviewer said it needed to update all my rides, end result it has taken one square away from me and my max square has dropped to 55. Had a look on the activity map, and to be fair I haven't been through the square, I must have got it when they had a much bigger tolerance as I've been to the edge of it. Need to do 37 miles out to get it and get the max square back up to 58. Going to get it via the footpath coming down from Kilvington.

Just flicking around and looked at this thread. I never knew the Tile Count was a "thing" Just looked on Veloviewer and I have 7,376 tiles: Max Square 9 x 9: Max Cluster 512

Is that good, bad, average or doesn't it matter?

A Quick Update:

7,579 Tiles
24 x 24 Square
772 Cluster

It is getting harder to make significant progress now.

I like the fact that this makes me ride roads I've never been on before (and fields and people's drives )

I joined "cyclechat" Strava group but I didn't seem to update into my list of veloviewer clubs. Have left again as it seems a club with little activity and meaning on Strava

Works just fine for me on Veloviewer. You might just have to update your veloviewer stats?

I'm #11 for tiles and #10 for square, but #9 for max cluster. And it's currently a bit of a spindly thing.

As it happens I'm weighing up a ride this weekend which might lay the basis for some expansion. Only putting this dumb idea forward to make it a bit harder to back out!

Not bad for a route prioritised on ease of riding!

The bit north of Sheffield is really efficient in the future:
