I have finally sorted everything out. Ordered a new rear wheel and 7 speed spacer. I also purchased a bottle cage as it boosted the price just above £30 which meant free shipping!!!!

Ah, freewheels can be a bugger to get off - Especially after they have been on there a while.

I use one of these to get enough leverage on the freewheel remover, and it still takes quite a bit of effort! The whole thing is about 70cm long.

Anyway, looks like you have it sorted out now.
