So did guinea pigs Fnaar. Wouldn't fancy one of those on top of my baked potato

Why not? They are quite edible. Although like Fnaar says, minced would be more convenient, there's a high bone/meat ratio I think...

"Dorset Naga came in at almost 1.6 million SHU"

in that link, even the salesman is dismissive of that measurement.

whilst nagas are certainly hot and not to be messed with, it's generally accepted that the JOLOKIA is the hottest that has so far been properly analysed.

it's all academic though, as anything in the 300 000 scovilles and above range are stupidly hot and indistinguishable from each other (heatwise) in tasting}

and i know because i've grown and eaten both and many others:ohmy:

I Just couldn't - we've got three live ones and an intelligent robot one as well. Rabbits OK, but not "pigs"

I s'pose.... I've had live ones myself, but I don't think that would stop me eating one if offered. Just as I love horses, but am curious to try horsemeat. And last year I looked after a friend's lambs for a weekend, and then enjoyed some very tasty chops - that was from the actual animals I looked after, not just the same species. I'm just callous perhaps...

But I draw the line at guinea pigs. What would Cindy, Barbie and Larissa say? (I didn't name them by the way  )

In my experience of GP's I expect they'd say "weeep weeep weeep", probably crossly...

Our's were Ginny, Choca and Ashley. Ginny was an Abysinian, fur all in rosettes, Choca was a smooth haired genius, very smart indeed, leanrt to recongise our footsteps and voices and stuff, but Ashley was a long haired Peruvian and thick as shoot. She used to sit on her food bowl and then look at you as if you say "where's me dinner?"

No claims to authenticity, but by christ my chile is good, if you'll excuse the boasting. And I have the recipe handy to attach, as someone asked me for it before...
