EDIT.............
TBH I'm asking on behalf of someone else............I have googled without finding the solution.
The person has sold their house and has to live in a flat for 6 weeks before the new house is available (each flat has to have its own licence).
I know a TV licence is for the property........not the person.
So......in theory he
a) loses what is left on his present licence
b) has to pay for a new licence........which will only be used for 6 weeks
c) then buy yet another licence for the new house.
or
am I missing something? eg can he get a rebate for the present house............then pay for the flat.........then get another rebate ?
Just found out..........he can get a rebate for present house. Does he have to pay for a full year on the flat...........then get a rebate after 6 weeks ?
