Perfect weather here today, almost summer, so decided to do an all-out TT test with exactly the same equipment as I will use in Cambridgeshire (even shaved the legs ). Picked a Strava segment and just hammered the throttle to the floor. Daaiieem I loooove speed
Not too much wind, but of course the the wind that was there was smack in my tail.

KOM! :notworthy:

had a look at route and made another one on komoot - not done the first mile and bit from your hotel but done the rest - roads aint the best but they are quiet - biggest town you go through is burton latimer that can be a little busy but nothing stupid - made a detour through Fotheringhay just because its steeped in history but blink and you will miss it - all to do with henry8 wives , old church , site of old castle, and richard third born there -but very small place
only took you to haddon but the road you have chose from there to your hotel isnt there ! i looked on satellite map and if you keep going there is a farm track that meanders to the back of the hotel and i would try that - dragged the little yellow man to the start of the track and although gated , it looks concrete track
oundle isnt a busy place by any means and plenty of food stops if you want detour into there
also i dont know what sort of touring set up your got - if you wanted a quieter route there is a way through my town that would take you along the valley on old railway track / cycle route - but not for road bikes with skinny tyres as got a cinder type topping
wouldnt go on a605 - fast busy road and not nice
Thank you very much. I've downloaded it to the Elemnt. I'll be enjoying it while you're in Italy explaining to the Carabinieri how you barely bumped that statue and anyway it was 1800 years old and it was time to replace it anyway.

Club run to different cafe, 6 punctures, cold, cafe too busy, got lost( club, not me), different cafe, more punctures (pirates code invoked) .speedy return in rain .

Really enjoyed the day
Looks like you've added some freckles.

Edit. 72 Miles in those conditions. Impressive.

Continental GP4000 series it's been my support and secure. Not much flat tyres in few years. I use that with a trainer too.

I see on one segment you're 23rd out of over 2600. Strong work.
