has anyone got a rough idea of the length of the rides we are going to be doing each day ?

done a tiny little sportive today with not many people doing the long one ( guessing 25 ) so spent most the time on my own tootling along until i bumped into a small group and couldn't believe the difference in effort . almost like i was being dragged along , sent a text to a bloke in the local club to see if i can tag along one of these days to get used to it

30-70 miles with 5-8000ft daily will be plenty

If you go to Majorca, I would look into hiring a bike out there. I got a Spesh Tarmac, 5 days, 90 euro fully insured. And they put sensible gears on them 50/34 and 12x32. At least that way you don't have to fret about the ham fisted airport employees.

I'm off to Tenerife in just over a week, and will be renting a roadbike. I've done this quite a few times now and it works well.

Lee, if you look at the whatsapp thread you will see you can access Angus’s rwgps and look at the rides/routes. Also, look at the col collective videos for the rides we will be doing .

I've just checked the photos from the ToC and saw that they are only 21 Euros for the set - so I ordered them. I think there are over 50, so pretty good value. Does show me that I need to lose a bunch of timber

Yes I did have the number on my helmet - most of the photos are from the front. I just typed my number in and 55 odd pics showed up. They're quite good actually ..... other than distorting my lean physique
