Anecdotally fast, though not so fast as the Evade, and also very cool so great for mountain climbs in the heat.

But also want to look at HJC Furion.

To be honest mate I’m a bit suspicious of all that aero talk. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great when you’re trying to talk yourself into an expensive purchase ^_^. But in reality unless you’re trying to break 20 minutes for a 10 mile TT, just get the one you like the look of best. Because between wrapping a pair of trousers around your head, and the most aero of helmets out there. You prob saving yourself a few seconds over 10 miles.

well after todays ride struggled 60 ish 4000ft+ done me, ill never get around the 130 miler with 12000ft so it set in stone now im doing the 95 but for me I can do the elbow any time its 1 of my 60 routes I do

Any sign of the bike yet Rob? I was looking at the pro vibe stem earlier. You know it comes in 10 or 17 degrees? Just thinking I wouldn’t cut the steerer tube down too much until your 100% happy with your fit. I think most people have stems between 6 and 8 degrees. Even 10 degrees will put you a bit lower than you’re used to with the same number of spacers.

Lee,
Sounds like you may have raised saddle too high/back?
Re the hat torn between Tommy’s offer of prevail-but it’s black and not a fan of black helmets-or prevail 2, red fade to black and hugely expensive. Ekoi have the Ar13 which looks good and isn’t more reasonable but waiting for stock in red which they say due shortly. The new Oakley looks good and cracking reviews. I didn’t order the Hunt deep section wheels in time so I have a bit more to spend.
Enjoy ya ride!
i swapped saddles over from the other bike as i know its a comfy saddle - it was causing me grief so i know the position was wrong , i have been stopping every 10 mile and either moving up .down forward or back - only 5mm at a time and i brought it down a little today and tipped it forward and it was heaven ! felt totally different and also i have got rid of clip on bars ( losing weight ) and been struggling with pins and needles but done the last 25 today with no issue so hopefully i am nearly there . will try a hilly route soon to see how it feels . i got an inner ring with 33 tooth ( thanks Andy ) but i ordered the wrong one so my bil has got it at moment and hes gonna drill it out as hes an engineer , will fit that , put the lightweight tool kit on , change to the lighter wheels and then i think i am ready ! balancing my weight with activities and trying not to lose too much - hovering around 10 all the time
cant wait :hyper:

@Randyberlin do you have a full plan yet? Just wondering how close you get to where I live? Have a feeling you're mostly going North so nowhere near me.
I fly into Cardiff on the 30th. On the 31st ride to Gloucester /1st to Northampton / 2nd into Peterborough/ TOC on the 3rd/ Skegness on the 4th and from there head north with no more plans until Cross Hands on The 23rd and fly home from Cardiff on the 26th. So Iong winded reply that I doubt if I get South of Cardiff.

How’s your shoulder berty? You still got a snooker ball sticking out of it?

Thank you very much for the sheep track recon. I can return the favor by giving you advice on how to put on a few pounds in Italy if you'd like. (Mostly pasta and desserts. ) I saw a top 10 segment on Strava on your ride today. Nice.

Edit: preparing is essential. Example: looking at the menu for the Skegness hotel planning on Gammon.

Yeah, I am trying to talk myself into a less expensive, though still expensive, purchase:biggrin:
I really like my Kask Mojito but anything over 15mph and it’s bloody noisy!Especially compared to a 3y old prevail. Great ventilation though with all those holes.

Fair enough. I'm near Stonehenge so if you do, for some reason, find yourself near there and need somewhere to rest your head let me know.

I’ll go along with the majority. Either is fine with me. The decision point doesn’t look that far into the ride. My optimism may not have been worn off by then. My hope is to be in OK shape by then. Add and the Swansea boys look very strong already and Whorty has turned into a watt machine. Kip rides 100s of miles in crazy weather. So get used to hearing “hey guys wait up” and “hey guys I just need 20minutes to rest my legs” and “hey are you going to finish that Welsh cake”

@BILL S are you going to make it?

Looks like you'll be in fairly good shape if you keep up the training Randy. The full DD is very tough I have to say but if you have a comfy saddle and ride position that will make all the difference. Either of the lesser distances will be tough too, but you will finish them quicker so less pain to put up with.
I haven't paid much attention to the DD this year as I've assumed I won't be able to make it, so just looked it up and its 24th June. I'd love to try to make it to meet you and some of the others, but it'll have to be a last minute decision as it really depends on how HID is feeling. She has MS so often needs my help and support so really depends on whether she's going through a good phase or not when the time comes.
So its a maybe. Who knows, she might even want to get me out of the house by then, so fingers crossed

Frame due in 30th bit annoying as it said dispatched 3 to 5 days if I hadn't had 15% off I would ordered with sigma as they have it in stock back to the bars and stem still not sure I did want the pro vibe but I need a 6 degree stem so ruled pro out what I want is some kind of semi aero compact bar with internal routing for the bar end junction sound easy ha but still no joy
I'm kind of leaning towards zipp alloy stem beyond black and they sl bars unless u can recommend any
