Chris Rea fancied bringing out a hard rock record, but fearing a backlash from his traditional fans came up with a new persona, he bought a wig from a King Charles II impersonator, some dark sunglasses from a shop on Redcar Promenade, then found his last item in an antiques shop on Guisborough Market, a top hat, just like the baddy in his favourite James Bond film, Baron Samedi, in Live & Let Die, so his new creation Slash came to life, the rest is history

Chris Rea played Superman in the first movie. When he was unavailable for publicity and interviews they very quickly changed the name on posters to Reeve. Christopher Reeve got the subsequent movies due to availability and now being named on the posters.
