Postie leaving one of those rubber bands in the letterbox or on the path. Very useful for keeping bags of coffee beans closed etc.
(Yes, I'm too tight tight to go and buy some!)

They seem to have stopped just dropping them all over the place

Nowadays I have to go up and down the local roads to get them!

which 'some people' think is excessive and wonder why they married me!!!

I saw the first Storks yesterday; a pair were circling high above the shop where I work. This is one of the big signs that Spring is finally coming.

1st time we ever saw them was in south west France.
Beautiful birds to watch.

I was cleaning the privvy at the time.

They (the storks, not the privvy) will be looking for nests, much to the annoyance of local electricity companies; they now add metal baskets to pylons in the hope the birds nest there and not on something more vital to electricity supply.

Funny story.
We 1st saw them when approaching our destination/caravan.
Next day we excitedly drove to where we saw them.......dual carriageway with absolutely no parking.
Next morning we went for a stroll only to find them nesting a few hundred yards away.
