But nobody can take their car back to the manufacturer. When you go to B&Q you don't say "I went to Kingfisher" - I rest my case.

You don't have one to rest

Kingfisher aren't the manufacturer, and the B&Q store doesn't have "Kingfisher" in big letters over the entrance.

THe BMW dealership does have "BMW" in big letters, and the other main dealers usually have their brand similarly.

And if B&Q is a poor example because they aren't also the manufacturer, look at things like Hotel Chocolat, or any of the big fashion brands with their own stores. You don't say "I went to the Calvin Klein shop/dealership/franchise", you just say "I went to Calvin Klein", or "I went to Clarkes" (for shoes).

Morgan's should never have left the factory in the first place.

Morgan cars may be less damaging to the environment than EVs? Growing more trees is helpful, as is the typical long-term life of a morgan compared to most other cars (though I concede the miles used is possibly a fraction). I'm into kit cars, whereby we recycle existing car parts into new cars - much better for the environment - but buying replacement parts is more of a challenge (as it is with all cars)

Maybe we'll have to "agree to disagree"

My point was is that they are still using Ash for the frames (not the chassis as many people wrongly claim).
It's all a little archaic. Nothing to do with the environment..
Perhaps you don't remember John Harvey Jones going into the then struggling Morgan Car Company and shredding their archaic production process, non-linear production, hand made panelling, long waiting lists and general mis-manglement?
...and they are still using Ash? I know they have come a long way but still.

The Caterham on the other hand...

In the spirit of this thread: Fish and frikkin chips.

Vile rosbif food.

Light's touchpaper and legs it...

Hang on, you are Welsh right? Surely there is something annoying about that.

Welsh rarebit, for example is not rare, and the Worcester sauce that distinguishes it from cheese on toast is not Welsh. Surely that's annoying?
