And... people who leave shopping trolleys in the car park as if it is a trolley bay

We once went to B&Q on a very windy rainy day for some wood, it wasn't an emergency and we should have postponed the trip until a better day, as I was putting the wood in the car, which was parked nowhere near another vehicle a trolley was caught by the wind and hurtled across the car park at terrific speed smashing into the passenger side wing and creating a nice dent, oh how laughed and remarked how some cad had left a trolley in the open on a extremely windy day.

People who block pavements by leaving their bins out all week.

I've taken to putting them back for them right where their cars go on the drive.

Yup - I do that with next door
They got a HUGE extension done at the back of their house and got the garden redesigned - sort of thing you see on the TV programmes and with only plastic grass
Then got rid of their old bins and replaced them with nice shiny new ones - which they do not mess up by putting the house numbers on them

When the bins are empty they are often left at the end of our driveway - so I "helpfully" take them over and leave them on their drive - normally where the brand new Porche or BMW M3 park
If I don;t, then I sometimes just leave them somewhere at the edge of the road, they could still be there several days later - even though they have to drive round them to park their car/van!

I don't mid to much really - they do have 3 cars and 2 vans outside their house (including said Porsche and BMW!) but they have made sure they paved over their whole front area so they have room to park them without getting in anyone's way - which is kinda unusual in this estate!!!
(side note - all this money seems to have appeared over and after lockdown - and he runs his own company - funny that!!)

Toilet seats that don't stay up on their own, forcing me to have to hold onto the seat with one hand then keep my clothing out of the way and take aim successfully with but a single hand!

🚽

Just sit down girl style.

I always do that these days, saves aiming and gives you a rest at the same time

Me too. Stops me getting moaned at for splashing on the toilet mat.

My best mate does it too, he pees a lot overnight and doesn't like putting the lights on as it disturbs his wife - he can sit and not splash in the dark!

The number of tents left at Glastonbury, Reading Leeds etc.... Anyone would have thought that the younger generation weren't environmentally aware!!

I do wonder how many of them also attend "Juts Stop Oil" marches and all that sort of thing

However, that is not my main gripe about it

AT many festivals some good people go along as volunteers to help clear up - often working for charities collecting the tents for re-use by refugees - and other stuff

which is great

However, in many cases the event is run at a big profit by companies
and there are a lot of people in the country who need extra money

In my opinion if you run a festival and lot of rubbish is left afterwards then you should be paying the people who do the cleaning up rarther than using the goodwill of good people who volunteer

Clearly this does not apply to festivals that are not run for profit

Oh - and as far as charities are concerned - the company can donate the tents to them themselves!

(if the people leaving them behind could be made to clear it up that would be even better but....)

Many years ago as a Scout Leader, our District was invited to go to the Leeds Festival to obtain free tents if we took them down & away, however, the security had taken anything worth having, leaving single skin junk that's useless, not only that but a lot of what was left had been used as a toilet & were left full of urine & excrement, and also that a fair few were left with used hypodermic needles in, needless to say, not very much was collected, we declined the offer the year after, total & utter waste of resources and time
