Asking a question about an item before purchasing and then finding out when received its not suitable on the very ground you were questioning. Was looking for an electric sander to fit between the square spindles on my staircase and had found a smallish multi tool that was described as being potentially small enough but I asked if it would fit with it sanding attachment on. Yes was the response when it fact it should have been no.

Sounds like you need a multitool with triangle sander attachment?

The mouse sander are probably too big?

Theres just 10cm between the spindals - the multi tool I bought with its sanding attachment takes it to around 10.5cm.

My sister did a sub 45min 10k then was told some days later it was only 8k she did get a entry to the next year's race... Which was 12k!!only joking!

In the dim and distant past a group of us went to run the Gillingham ( Dorset ) Marathon. We all ran really good times, with several recording PB’s. I was a tad suspicious as the last couple of miles seemed to pass really quickly. I remarked that with so many recording such good times it must be a short course. Surprised at how many didn’t want to believe it was short, they’d rather have the “ PB “
It was also the only Marathon I ran where they had refreshments served in china tea cups at one of the aid stations.

Shops with the till giving a more expensive price than on the shelf; typically the Co-op with £4 instead of £2.50, and £2.20 instead of £1.50 (and the pre reduced price given as £2.10) previously this year. Normally abandon the transaction but challenged them this week on a £5.50 instead of £3.50 resulting in a long queue of disgruntled customers whilst they checked it; maybe should photo the shelf. Asda meanwhile got in the act this week with a failure at the till to honour a 2 for £8 offer; transpired contrary to the shelf labelling it is 3 for £11

I gave a lift to my neighbour the other day to go to a shop/store. I bought some wild bird seed after she moaned that me feeding birds bread is bad because quote "bread's not good for them". When she saw the bird seed I'd bought she said quote "you shouldn't be putting bird seed out as it attracts rats". I pointed out that the bird seed was for putting around the cemetery not around the flats we live in. She then said quote "it'll still attract rats". My thoughts were "keep your fecking nose out and maybe catch the bus home! 🧐

Not only that but in the past she's 'dissed' my Fiat 500 car. On more than one occasion as we've been in my car and a souped up Fiat 500 Abarth has passed by she's said things like "Oh look, that's one of these but it's one of those really nice ones".
