Trivial things that make you annoyed beyond expectations?

Things jangling when cycling or running, especially on others!

I need both a fob and a key to get into my house so have bound them with a rubber band to keep them quiet when they are in a pocket or top tube bag.

I ran the London Marathon one year and there was a chap in full Morris Dancer kit running at the same pace. With every stride the bells around his knees would jingle jangle. I stuck it for a mile or two then just had to up my pace to get away from him.

I’d have had to do the same! it’s my major fear for next Sunday that I come across someone like that!

I did a 100 km ride in Devon a few weeks ago. The bike transmission started making a ticking noise and my shoes were squeaking on the pedals. After 4 or 5 hours of those noises I felt like chucking the bike in a ditch and walking back!

The trend here is the opposite: wide flat top and rounded "base" so you have to store them upside down.

Just checked the Dove shower stuff, Unilever Made in Germany, very pointy top!

People who take up entire width of footpath as you approach and refuse to go single file and act surprised when you don’t dive off in to the undergrowth to let them proceed without interruption

Get off your bike and stand next to it and therefore you'll block the path and a mock wobble while steering with the saddle (but you may need some mates if a wide path) they very soon realise that single file allows easy passing.
