Splendid! I may as well add more gin.

Make your own tonic. But be careful.

I got confused when my local Aldi rearranged some of its cool shelves a few weeks ago. I had been going through the store on auto-pilot but now I am having to think about where everything is again.

That is exactly why they do it.

They know people shop by habit, and they want to break that habit, so that people will notice other things on the shelves, and maybe buy them.

Colleagues who assist people with mental and psychological disabilities say this is an absolute nightmare for some clients. Thankfully most supermarkets don't seem to indulge in this sort of behaviour here.

Things that go 'BEEP' unnecessarily...

My microwave beeps 5 times to tell me it's pinged. A solitary 'beep' will suffice!

My washing machine plays a flippin' tune 🎶!!

The dishwasher... 3 'Beeps'

I have, however, managed to workout the exact sequence when I get out of my Honda to not be 'Beeped' at.

My Microwave beeps five times too ( Panasonic ) I looked at the manual to see if there was an option to turn the beep off - no, there isn't. I'm tempted to whip the cover off and disconnect the beeper, but it's probably a Piezo device hidden away somewhere and not a discrete speaker.

Mine is a Kenwood, as is the dishwasher. Similar sounds Beeps so your Piezo device thought could be right.
There is no reason on God's good earth for my Samsung w/machine to play a tune, though, is there!!?
