Hee hee very useful that...perhaps theres a religious significance intended ie your prayers have been answered and gods in the sorting office and alls right with the world...Tracking that only tells you when the parcel has been delivered, not before.
I know exactly what you mean. It's worst with those having a 'domestic' with their partner and who insist that everyone on the bus should listen to their epic bust-up which is something Eastenders could do as a storyline.I found a new annoyance today, I got a bus for a change and had to endure some t*at talking about the pizza his mate had just ordered and regular updates of where he was and when he would arrive. I'm a placid man but he came close to having his phone accidentally falling out of the window. Think I will stick to the bike in future.
That gets my vote, too..People who read my last post and who still feel the need to make a political comment.
the best argument ever for not having one of the things. When you find yourself shouting "Alexa, stop" at non-intelligent devices like the radio or a kitchen timer.
I have shouted stop at the children but that often doesn't have any effect either. When you find yourself shouting "Alexa, stop" at non-intelligent devices like the radio or a kitchen timer.
Don't know why we can't have more home grown. No doubt the shortage of people to pick them these days. When I was growing up, there were tomato greenhouses just outside the village where many of the local women would go and pick them throughout the growing season. I used to love visiting my dad and gorging on his tomatoes straight off the vine. So sweet and tasty. The demise of the tomato... In a lab somewhere some white coated SOaB is engineering tomatoes that safely arrive on the supermarket shelves but are hard as hell and inedible. 'Cherry' tomatoes used to be reasonable but now are just plain offensive. Can it be that hard to get a tasty variety like 'Gardeners Delight' to the veg section? For sure there is a few expensive choices available but im not paying £2 and over a punnet. I look forward to when i can grow my own again and the supermarkets can go shove'em.....
Many tomatoes here are tasteless and rather lacking in fibre to say the least. I can recommend the tomatoes, of all sorts of shapes, sold in many if not most Italian street markets - may be a bit far to drag your panniers though. The demise of the tomato... Sadly looks (and hardiness vis a vis transport) trump all. There is an upside tho' - if you can find the right street market/stalls, they buy up all the gnarly stuff the big boys won't touch, so you can get fruit 'n veg that actually tastes of something after all. And as a bonus, it's half the price! Result! The demise of the tomato... I agree. The "standard" tomato in shops is awful. They go from unripe, to glassy and horrible within a few days and there doesn't seem to be any middle groud. I now buy the vine ripened ones, although they are expensive, but I'd rather do that than go withoutThe demise of the tomato...
But a damn good reason to go travelling on the bike! Many tomatoes here are tasteless and rather lacking in fibre to say the least. I can recommend the tomatoes, of all sorts of shapes, sold in many if not most Italian street markets - may be a bit far to drag your panniers though.
