I can't make it unfortunately due to work
tpv worked very well for me tonight in race with well over 100 in it , no issues , well apart from getting freight trained by steen steaming passed me near the finish line ,I knew I was in trouble when the little kicker near the end where I thought I would get a lead , he was looming on my shoulder , but it was good to know someone - also Andy Macca was in the race , an old bkool user who flits around the apps , alway nice to see
Are these TPV (or Zwift) videos being recorded by TPV (or Zwift) itself, or by something else?
Ah, I installed that on my Windows laptop years ago. I played with it a couple of times but have never used it since.A lot of people use OBS (Open Broadcasing Software). I use it for my Zwift/TPv live streams on my Macbook.
You can't do it on Apple TV - not surprisingly. On the iPad I used to screen record then upload, but that was tedious.
Currently doing first free ride; initial thoughts;
Good UI - annoying with apple TV remote but that's not their fault. Easy to get started
HUD very very good- lots of data but not too busy, much better info on cadence and power in ride, draft indicator and map all very good; very similar to zwift but better.
General riding experience; a bit meh? Riding a free ride up a climb, graphics blocky, very few riders about. Fairly similar to RGT but with a few more positives. Will need to do a race to test the physics as they sound like a real plus, and in truth I rarely do that many free rides.
One thing to get used to is the breaking into corners - saves energy if you spot it, wastes if you don't lol - much more realistic than Zwift as speed is appropriately reduced so you have to power out of corners and if you don't gaps can appear. I like that feature.
I like the drafting too, more realistic feel than Zwift. The wind also a nice touch.
#Negatives is compared to zwift it's sparse of riders and those who are there feel like robots. Hopefully as people's subs on Zwift expire more will give it a go and it gets momentum.
Certainly better value though than Zwift at £180 a year vs free![]()
