Puzzle game procrastinator!
I hadn't appreciated quite how much power is needed to get back up to speed after slowing for junctions, tight bends etc. I soon noticed once I got a power meter fitted to my bike though!

I might be tootling along at 175-200 W, but then see 350-400 W as I accelerate back up to speed.

I can imagine how much effort a peloton's tail-enders have to make to chase the bunch as they accelerate away from a hairpin bend!

Currently doing first free ride; initial thoughts;

Good UI - annoying with apple TV remote but that's not their fault. Easy to get started

HUD very very good- lots of data but not too busy, much better info on cadence and power in ride, draft indicator and map all very good; very similar to zwift but better.

General riding experience; a bit meh? Riding a free ride up a climb, graphics blocky, very few riders about. Fairly similar to RGT but with a few more positives. Will need to do a race to test the physics as they sound like a real plus, and in truth I rarely do that many free rides.

I agree with your observations. If you free ride, I'd suggest using the Pacer Bots. Racing is definitely worth trying.

I'm probably doing Lou's Group Ride on Sunday at 3pm. It's a group ride, but the front runners treat it as a race if you fancy a bit of a bash.

I'm glad that you eventually sorted it out.

What caused the problem?

My internet dropped in the middle of a TPV update and I guess corrupted it. I had tried un-installing and re-installing but support told me to delete a couple of folders as well. Once I did that and re-installed, it was all good.

I have to say missed zwift today. 40 minute window to do something without planning and no races for 40 mins, and that one wasn't a great length, actually went for a run!

Provided I get back from Brum in time today, which I should, I'm doing Lou's Group Ride at 3pm. Usually about 50 (real) riders take part and no Bots. Quite a few treat it as a race, and I plan to do so today - come and have a go if you think you're fast enough :tongue: :thumbsup:

Did a points race and it was great. Actually very like the physics, they are quite close to RGT. It's actually mad how quickly another platform can make racing better than zwift, although it'll be hard to break their grasp/weight of numbers.

I was put in pen 3/6 so probably a reasonably easy field and I don't know how many were bots but was very fun regardless

Glad you enjoyed it. I agree, the physics is excellent.

The physics on Mywhoosh is better though. Have you seen the new beta? It has the FPS unlocked for the high powered graphics cards. Looks amazing. I could never go back to any other platform now. It makes Zwift look like C64 graphics.

mywhoosh crashed the last 2 times I tried to use it and didnt save anything , as no other platforms seem to do that (at the moment ) then mywhoosh is last of my personal choices
