Geraint Thomas in the Ineos squad....don't know why I thought he'd be sitting it out for the Vuelta.

No matter what he’ll be burned out for the Olympics which is why young Josh Tarling is a no brainer for selection.

I've just checked and it seems that I can take out a Discovery + subscription for month and watch the TdF live. We usually enjoy watching the highlights on ITV4 but it would be good to have the option of live coverage. Hopefully I have got that right?

I noticed that there were some bonus seconds available at intermediate points on some stages but I couldn't find a list. So for your delectation and delight, I've made a list.

These bonuses are of 8, 5 and 2 seconds and are all at the top of the last significant climb in a stage, making it a mini summit finish. Sometimes it's downhill all the way from there, and sometimes there is a descent and another (small) climb left.

They are in addition to the 10, 6 and 4 seconds bonus for stage wins, so best case someone could take 18 bonus seconds in a stage,
