The squirrels hereabouts have a slight problem now. They usually jump from fence post to fence post, about six feet. In the last ten minutes, the wind has blown away two fence panels in the garden next door, taking a fence post with them. I'm waiting to see if they attempt a twelve foot epic. They are certainly daft enough.

I thought we'd be OK as I'd made sure everything was out of the way or tied down. Until I went to make myself a drink in the kitchen.

There was part of someone's roof in my garden. It took about 10 seconds to realise that was my conservatory roof out there.

Cue 15 minutes up a step-ladder in wind & rain putting it back, then making sure that the panel and others wouldn't blow away again.

Funny you should say that, sat here now (in the conservatory), and part of the gazebo roof for the hot tub took off as I'm looking at it.! I'll get a new panel from Wickes tomorrow !!

Ironically, today has been one of the least windy days of the last month. Hardly any snow either. Just some rain and 30/40 mph wind. We had our storm on Wednesday, and 60 mph winds are forecast for Sunday night. Doubt if the BBC will devote so much air time to that though; - bliddy annoying Jocks, we can get on with it .
Even by our low standards, this last month has been particularly wet and windy, and with no end in sight according to windy.com . There's plenty more foul weather brewing in the Atlantic and heading our way .

Seems to have not been as bad as predicted here on the North Wales / Cheshire border, plenty of rain but definitely seen it windier.

It was very weathery but not all that horrid here as ramped up by the media and I refuse to personalise my weather by giving it names.

Not too bad here. Three fence panels collapsed, but they were rotting anyway. Can just drop new ones between the concrete posts. I don't think we got the amount of wind forecast (not that I'm complaining, mind, just glad it's over... until Sunday...)
