My neighbours huge steel barbecue has been launched through the fence into my place and my firtree hedge is now on the floor in the middle. It's 20ft high .... well some of it still is

There is a full sized solid door in next doors garden. I suspect it smashed into the fence on the way past and suspect that’s what I heard (Before going out and finding a snapped fence post).

Yep. This place is wrecked. We have just been given a warning for tomorrow here now.
Not gunna be much left at this rate. We basically look straight out to sea.

Lost one roof tile, and a concrete fence post gave way, and we've had no electricity since mid morning (due back on c18:00 we're advised). Think we got away with it quite lightly, wind now down to "just" 60mph here. Lots of trees down blocking the lanes round here too, but no reports of injuries or worse thank goodness

Wind didn't start getting up until about an hour or so ago here. Have lost a fence panel already; well, it's half in place held there by a clump of bamboo - thank you bamboo! I hope it holds for the next few hours, if it does I'll never curse bamboo again.

After a quiet start the wind is picking up here in North Cumbria, been out to have a quick check, just some bamboo screen down but nothing major. The temp has dropped quite a bit since this morning though....
