Couldn't be arsed clicking on eighties utube links so sorry if you beat me to it. It was Laurie ANderson. A rare treat in a musiacally bleak decade.

Prince did some interesting stuff though. Sounds more and more avant Garde and less and less pop as it ages.

Yes!-Hats is a great album to chill out/print moody landscape pics to [Talk Talk were great too]. BTW, what are da kidz of 2day going to get nostalgic about in 20 yrs time?I just feel so sorry for them, missing out on such a fantastic decade to grow up in....

FFS the eighties were grade A shite. I know, I grew up there.

But those who grew up in the 80s (well, most of us) are now of an age to be all nostalgic about them, especially the music. And, given some of the stuff we've heard since then (Robbie Fucking Williams, anyone?), eighties music doesn't sound half bad.

The sound quality's not all it could be, is it? Say what you like about the eighties, they had the production side of it pretty well sorted.
Sounds like it could be good though.
