Your "Town Hall Clock" mindset does you no favours.

All you've done is try to make yourself look as an "authority figure" who wants to let everyone know how important you feel you are. The problem is "two faced" doesn't cover the "Town Hall Clock". People have trouble knowing which face you're using.

Actually I did say it in a watered down sense but...
So you want (need) to pass stringent water tests, to do that I have to sanitise all the taps with very specific chemicals...but you'e not interested that the taps are covered in scale...which harbours bacteria and makes passing the tests harder....because you'e washed your hands (scuse the pun) of the problem, despite your dept being responsible. So you expect me to be a cleaner now because you can't (won't) put your head above the parapet and make the correct team do it...because that means you have a problem.
Spin, everything is spin nowadays, just do what you have to to pass the test...then forget about it. It's a disease encroaching into almost everyone's working life now. It's a bloomin disgrace.

It’s clearly because you don’t fancy taking the responsibility for the contract meeting and fancy the supposed easier option of chairing this meeting (as you won’t do any of the actions anyways and will just pass them to me)

You say it’s because you are “removed from the detail” and yet I’ve been in a different role for 12 months, now coming back to the role I actually applied for and so how the hell am I any nearer the detail than you!!

You are clearly out for yourself and have no desire to take responsibility for your department.
