'Jesus, use those two appendages on your body...you know, they're called legs'

While its easy and wrong to condemn everyone as lazy, but over the last few days ive seen people doing the opposite of what seems natural to me...
Holidaying in a multi storey hotel (we're on the 9th floor)...almost without exception, we walk down 11 floors to breakfast, dinner or go out. We have on occasions walked up 11 floors but that does leave me gasping somewhat (lung injury).
In 11 days, we've seen ONE other person using the stairs.

They're even using the lift to travel from reception to the restaurant.....instead of one, yes one, flight of pretty stairs. They'd sooner stand there waiting a minute or so for the lift to arrive.

Levante beach, Benidorm. At one end they're packed onto the beach like sardines. Walk a couple hundred yards up the beach, its not quiet, but its quieter, much more room. Why wouldnt you walk up a bit ?

There's a proliferation of mobility scooters here as well. Now thats a dodgy one because you can't see the problems the users face...but many of them look like normalish people, a bit overweight, who have maybe just taken the easy option. Theyre rental ones, perhaps they're so cheap it's silly not to...but if thats the case, it IS silly to if you dont genuinely need to.

Maybe you should stop fretting over silly things and actually enjoy your holiday?

Tongue In cheek mode engaged...:okay: maybe you should consider its not spoiling my holiday.
Not fretting, not angry, and seriously enjoying my holiday, just observing things as I go.:okay:

Doesn't sound like it. I wouldn't even begin to think about such petty or trivial things if i was on holiday

TBF, I did say to my wife...well, perhaps they actually like to be hemmed in amongst others, perhaps they genuinely like the atmosphere that brings. Fair enough, but not for me thanks.
Just to re-iterate, no angst on my part, just an interesting observation on what looks like an increasingly sedentary lifestyle a proportion of people are taking.

Perhaps we are really the odd ones, driven to get out there, perhaps were the ones that need help ^_^

16000 steps today in 30 degree temps. Perhaps thats normal, perhaps its nuts to some.:okay:

You're walking down 11 floors, from the 9th?
