Why did Elizabeth Beresford write The Wombles with only one female character, and she the cook and the cleaner?
What about Miss Adelaide ? How soon we forget...

Although remember the Smurfs ? Loads of male smurfs and only one smurfette ? I thought that was weird even at the time.

I was just about to mention them. It makes you wonder what their life cycle was like. One Papa Smurf, about fifty smurfs and one Smurfette. My conjecture is that when the smurfs reach full sexual maturity there is a massive fratricidal fight, the lone survivor of which mates with the Smurfette. There was no Mama Smurf, and all the smurfs save Papa Smurf look around the same age, so what I think happens is that the Smurfette bloats to bursting point with smurf eggs, and then blows up like a spider.

I read somewhere recently that it does not really matter on bikes due to the relatively low speeds. Cars it is important due to the much higher speeds and danger of overheating.
I always mount tyres the correct way tho’ despite that statement.

It depends on the tyres, and isn't about overheating, but about clearing water on wet roads.
Some bike tyres are unidirectional, some aren't.
Maybe, but it just looks wrong.
You notice other people's tyres when riding around?
