Sure, the leaves* are pretty - when they're dry - but the onset of winter just depresses me. Colder, darker, more rides spoilt by headlights everyone else uses that are too bright. No more 100 mile rides easily done in daylight (let alone riding home from a 200k without lights!)

Bleagh.

*And the leaves are mostly wet, and hide the road/path surface you want to see , both of which increase the chance of incident/injury.
You said it for me!!!

It is like seeing a scary man holding a machete running towards you, and your first thought is...

"He's wearing a really nice shirt"!

I've done 100 millers before at Christmas. It's usually fairly mild tbh.

Eating out and being served.

This, our lass thinks I'm mad but I hate eating out. I can manage a cafe stop on a bike ride, but restaurants are a big stresser for me

Volkswagen/Audi cars. Over-rated at best.

A triumph of careful marketing and advertising over reality.

Quite why anyone would think that a company that abused slave Labour and decided it would be cheaper to gas its customers than make its cars genuinely low emissions would make aspirational product is beyond me.
